So, anyone know where I could get a 4mm scale mountain bike, or am I going to have to try fabricating something from brass rod?Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02418527698793489162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3079411123321019478.post-7729085576230976262015-10-13T11:31:10.111+01:002015-10-13T11:31:10.111+01:00Thanks Geoff. One look once everything had dried and it just looked wrong, not just nothing like the prototype but just in general no one would ever have built it like that. It was still slightly nerve wracking though taking a scalpel to the model so close to the deadline.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02418527698793489162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3079411123321019478.post-18617474409492753472015-10-13T11:27:25.117+01:002015-10-13T11:27:25.117+01:00Yes I was a bot worried about messing it all up wi...Yes I was a bot worried about messing it all up with greenery, but so far it seems to be going okay.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02418527698793489162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3079411123321019478.post-63941081022269419632015-10-13T11:01:33.197+01:002015-10-13T11:01:33.197+01:00Bobby's bike lends a surprising element of sca...Bobby's bike lends a surprising element of scale in the piuc, it's smaller than I thought, but of course it is, this is narrow gauge... yes it was brave to scrap work already done, something that always smarts, but it's good for the soul and always feels better afterwards! I too think this is looking like a winner.Iain Robinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03633733907566547236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3079411123321019478.post-13182093827521953042015-10-12T12:44:06.996+01:002015-10-12T12:44:06.996+01:00Well done for having the courage to go back and co...Well done for having the courage to go back and correct your earlier mistake Mark, if you had left it as it was it would only have annoyed you, even though the original looked damn good. The water looks very good indeed when compared with the real thing, your patience and perseverance has certainly paid off there. Once the greenery is in place I reckon you will have a wining entry for the challenge, good luck :-)Geoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01458331893613937280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3079411123321019478.post-62574759561579881452015-10-12T06:30:02.971+01:002015-10-12T06:30:02.971+01:00What a fascinating comparison between those two sh...What a fascinating comparison between those two shots. It's almost a shame to add greenery to those nice rock surfaces, but it has to be done of course.Mikkelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09020417834248776431noreply@blogger.com
